Enjoying some time to relax this morning before heading out to our match
Card games are king…and queen during social time
At the Lincoln School in Heredia, both teams shake hands before the match
Post match photo, LC battled but the Lincoln School won the day 3-2. The facilities were excellent and the ball moved swiftly all game.
Found a good spot to reflect during our trip to Lincoln Mall in Moravia. The mall is actually located on the grounds where the old Lincoln School campus used to be!
Coach Hutchinson enjoys a Starbucks coffee. When the barista asked for his name, she wrote "Joch" on the cup. The Coach Hutch proceeded to say, "Tú sabes me¨ (Tú me conoces - You know me) in a sincere, and hilarious response. Love it!
Having recovered from the laborious match against the Costa
Rica U17 National team, the Pelicans rose early for a short but intense
training session in preparation for the clash with the Lincoln School, a Costa
Rica based American school. Despite our best efforts from both Prosper Figbe
and Kyle Douglas’ goals, the match ended 3-2 in the favor of the
talented Lincoln School. After the match, we got to replenish and relax as we
spent our evening in the Lincoln Plaza Mall. We were schocked as we discovered
American restaurants such as McDonalds, KFC, and Popeyes in the mall. Such establishments are only seen in the urban Valle Central (Central Valley). After the meals and a little shopping, the Pelicans returned to their nests to rest in preparation for zip-lining.
